Review of Heat (1995) by Christopher S — 12 Feb 2012
I always wondered what would happen if Al Pacino and Robert De Niro shared the same scene together. While one side of me thought it would be disaster, another side of me thought it would make for one of the best scenes in recent film history.
Heat proved the latter as true. That coffee shop scene is one of the most memorable scenes from a film with many memorable scenes. The overall cast was excellent although I felt that Jon Voight's character could have been given more screen time.
The bank robbing scenes were spectacular. Heat is definitely one of the best films about Los Angeles that I have seen and is one of the more underrated action thrillers of the last 25 years.
