Don't be thrown off by its running time. Heat delivers every minute in a meticulously composed manner, including a Tarantino-esque moment between the protagonist and antagonist, a bank heist, and an outstanding finale, thus making it a stellar crime drama of the 90s, as well as Michael Mann's best movie.
