"A LOS ANGELES CRIME SAGA...".

Heat is an extraordinarily potent and utterly vastly epic crime thriller from the wickedly brilliant mind of Director Michael Mann (Thief, The Last Of the Mohicans, Public Enemies, The Insider) that takes place in Los Angeles. Starring the great Robert Deniro alongside, and on opposite sides of the law as, the great Al Pacino. Great acting all around including performances from Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore. It also features an unforgettable performance by Jon Voight. When I think of this movie I can't help to remember the bank robbery scene about halfway through. Extremely realistic scene that only Micheal Mann can pull off, its definately one of the best shootouts ever captured on film. This film also features Mann's trademark visual style and has a striking resemblence to his first film "thief" which was released in the Early 80's. A hardcore, violent, and action packed crime masterpiece that goes down in history as one of the best films ever made. The action is pumped up, the violence and blood is amped up, and the storytelling is fast paced and quick. One of my favorite films of all time, one that never gets old and gets better everytime that I watch it. Deniro is a stone cold criminal who is as smart as he is brutal. Al Pacino is a washed up cop having marriage troubles. A long movie at over 3 hours long, Heat Is in my opinion one of the best crime thrillers ever made starring to of the best actors in Deniro and Pacino. The two star alongside each other for the first time since The Godfather: Part 2. When these two get together its surefire entertainment as is the case here. Heat is one of the most epic crime movie ever filmed, it reshaped the crime genre into a more hardcore and fast paced type of film.
