Review of Heat (1995) by Abe F — 04 Aug 2013
I don't understand all the praise for Heat. Good set pieces and cinematography, acting is fine but my god, it's padded to buggery! There is no good reason for this film to be over 2 hours. Seeing what Mann can do with a regular 90-120 minute duration (Collateral) this had the potential to be amazing but unfortunately its the longevity that keeps Heat from being a truly great film.
