Review of Heat (1995) by Nikol B — 06 May 2012
One of the most (insert profanity word) films I have ever seen. This had a great cast. What else do you need with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in the same film. There performances where top notch. They would show emotion throughout and that's what I like to see.
The pacing was excellent unlike most action films now a days. The plot could have been better but I'm not complaining. This was also beautifully made. The bank shooting scene is the best action and shooting scene ever.
My eyes where blow away at what I was seeing. You don't see much shooting scenes like that anymore. The sound was great. The guns sounded realistic and they didn't add the gunfire during post production so It gives it a more realistic feeling.
Looking at the poster I thought the cinematography was going to have a blue feel to it. It didn't but I'm not to disappointed. Having Al Pacino and Robert De Niro play cat and mouse was the best idea ever.
It added a lot of suspense making the audience wonder who is going to win. Without a doubt the best cop film ever. I can't believe that there where no Oscar nominations. Why not even for Best Sound? If you like (insert profanity word) films then this should be one of your favorites easily.
I had to remove all profanity words from all my reviews otherwise they where going to remove my super review status.
