Heat is what slow burning really is. Michael Mann needs to be given credit for competently mixing Pacino and De Niro on screen. He provides fine twists at times after boring you out from time to time, but it still is a great film with genre defining elements. The cast is stellar and the gun fight scene in the second half is simply epic, however, as it goes to the end, heat becomes predictable. Still one can't hate both of it's stars.
