This documentary on the making of Apocalypse Now is unique in that it is built on the secret diaries of Coppola's wife. With as much irony as the sinking of the Titanic, but in reverse, art here imitates life, when cast and crew go 'upriver' and battle their worst demons to make one of the most brilliant and highly acclaimed films of all time.
A treaure. I wish they'd release it on DVD.
