Review of Hearts in Atlantis (2001) by Adinda A — 21 Feb 2010
I was not disappointed with the acting or the setting, what I WAS disappointed with was they took the last chapter or the Stephen King novel and made it the bread in this celluloid sandwich, then just used the first chapter as the filling.
Not holding anything against Sir Anthony,he is always a great actor that sometimes makes an otherwise mediocre movie something watchable, but to get the true feel and meaning for the title of the movie, you have to have ALL the stories in it,otherwise it loses its feel.
This would have been so much better as a Mini-series,so they could play all the parts of the novel in sequence.
But for only being about the first chapter, its still a pretty decent movie.
