Review of Hearts and Minds (1974) by Cheyenne N — 15 May 2013
This documentary. It made me sick and amazed at the same time. The way it was made, and the things that the director focused on were incredible, but the things that happened in the movie were mostly horrific.
Now, I can't review a documentary on what it's about, but I can review it on the way it was made. For the 70's, this documentary was pretty well made. Following soldiers around has got to be a hard job, especially in a different country.
The close up techniques used in this made interviews more intimidating, and the tone of everyone made everything sound incredibly surreal.
