Review of Hearts and Minds (1974) by Blerim N — 17 Jun 2013
A documentary which forgoes narration and an obvious viewpoint. The picture simply presents a collection of archive news footage and interviews from all sides of the conflict without giving an opinion and it does so profoundly.
Ultimately seeing the most powerful country in the world dropping napalm on peasant villagers wooden huts renders a commentary largely redundant.
