Review of Heartless (2010) by Dan B — 23 May 2010
Overlong and unnecessarily arty pseudo horror, with flashes of interest but too many longeurs filled with stilted dialogue in between. Nice use of East London locations though.
This screening was followed by a Q&A with writer / director Philip Ridley who was personable and charming, but whose â?? ahem â?? very thorough answers to the questions gave some clue as to why the film felt about half an hour too long.
