Review of Headhunters (2011) by Alex V — 12 May 2012
An entertaining chase thriller featuring one of the smarmiest and borderline unlikable main characters out there. He's resourceful, but versus they guy trying to kill him, he doesn't stand a chance. And in his efforts to stay alive, he does kind of grow on you.
Unfortunately, despite having deeper characters and motivations than you would expect from a film like this, it all comes off as a little emotionally cold. Plus the cynic in me doesn't like the way it all ties up perfectly at the end.
