Review of Headhunters (2011) by Charles M — 16 Oct 2012
Part of the fun of following a good action movie is to realize how much your credulity can be put to the test by deliciously outlandish ideas into sequences of breathtaking. When all this comes with a good story, with a slight critical content, and excellent performances, we can say that we are facing a classic of the genre.
"Headhunters" is exactly that, a surprising coproduction Norway and Germany, which can make the magic work divinely in a way that becomes increasingly rare in a world populated by sequels, remakes and reinterpretations.
Originality, and even a certain amount of strangeness (how many times have you seen a pair of twins obese cops in action?) Are the true soul of this film that begins as a Europe drama, and is gaining as a Hitchcockian thriller thrilling, those who came without pausing to drink water or go to the bathroom.
Knowing that you will follow the path of success and failure of a new rich who lives to steal works of art while trying to compensate for his short stature to base a lot of money, and a superficial relationship with his beautiful wife, is the only point match to a sequence of constant surprises and twists unmissable.
