Review of Headhunters (2011) by Matt M — 08 Dec 2014
The film had a lot of potential right up until the point when Roger is is sitting in the interview with Clas, and then decides not to recommend him to the job. After that, everything became rather predictable, with the happy ending seeming rather artificial.
My main objection to this film has to do with the representation of women, who are more or less prostitutes: Natasha is a prostitute; Lotte earns her keep by seducing Roger and doing Clas' bidding; Diana decides to sleep around because her midget husband won't give her a child, and then, even though her husband turns out to be a selfish, philandering, murderous and lying thief with self-esteem issues, she decides to stay with him! An absurd movie that I may have given five stars to as a pimply teenager.
