Review of Head-On (2004) by Ollie W — 01 Jan 2012
A heavily flawed but enjoyable Australian drama from Ana Kokkinos that challenges censorship, categorisation and sometimes the limits of your patience. Alex Dimitriades might be outrageously attractive, but he is not a gifted actor, which is definitely a problem at times.
Paul Capsis though, is an absolute hoot as the sassy, gay, drag-queen friend who occasionally dresses up to go out, much to the indignation of the local Turkish community in which this provocative film takes place.
