Review of Head of State (2003) by Jeremiah K — 31 Mar 2012
This movie surprised me in the fact that it didn't portray white people as gutter trash, like some other black comedies love to do. Instead,it focuses on Mays Gilliam (Rock) as he turns from being an alderman to being a candidate for President of the U.
S. Now while this movie does have its comedic moments (such as when Rock gets people to dance to Nelly),it failed to deliver elsewhere. I didn't expect much from this movie, and in that sense,it did a very good job.
