Id guess you would label this movie as being a little `out there`, I mean come on ,where can you see a movie where a pet goldfish is telling the lead to kill all his coworkers? humming birds appear when the lead falls in love, theres a lot to it..

Christian Slater is great in this, in the past hes always come across as a journeyman actor,he gets the job done but lacks any real star power but in this he excels. Its his best role since pump up the volume. With good supporting turns from William H.Macy and the gorgeous Elisha Cuthbert make this if a little odd but enjoyable indie movie.

Whats it about I hear you shout, well bob(slater)decides his life is very dull, he takes a gun into his work and decides hes gonna go postal, only as hes loading up the gun someone else has the same idea and beats him to the punch, in a unstructured way bob turns his gun onto the assailant guns him down and in turn becomes the unlikely hero, one of the would be victims gunned down is Vanessa (cuthbert), Bob has always had a soft spot for her and stays with her till the ambulance arrives.

Bob then discovers a new life as he gets promoted and builds a relationship with Vanessa who becomes paraplegic due to a bullet in the spine. In saving these people, Bob may have saved himself. Dont let me fool you by what ive just wrote its not sugary sweet and not full of important life lessons. The ending still has me thinking what?...

Worth a watch.
