Review of He Was a Quiet Man (2007) by Eric T — 02 Sep 2008
He was a quiet Man is a very intruiging concept for a movie. it's about a man who doesn't really fit in anywhere. whose been looked down upon, spit at and despised for no reason in particular. everyone treats him poorly so he decides to seek his vegeance. however.. he's not quite able to act on his thoughts at first.
Bob Maconel(Slater) shows both sides of human and madness! a scary man whose life has been built on lies and partly his wild imagination that he seems to believe is real.
I got kinda bored of this movie. as I was able to figure out what was happening long before they revealed it.
He was a Quiet Man is def true to the character. He was Crazy Man would be a better one.
He was Not Worth 1 hour and a half of my Time is how I felt about this movie.
Tho I think Elisha cuthbert is quite lovely! and Christian Slater is good!
But the characters are so weird. I felt like William h. Macy's character was like a really annoying salesman who won't go away. everything seems to cheesy and over-the-top. tho it's obvious as to why. but I felt it took away the suspense for me.
An unfortunate disappointment.
