Review of He Was a Quiet Man (2007) by Justin A — 07 Oct 2008
It's surprising that name actors like Christian Slater, Elisha Cuthbert, and William H. Macy would agree to appear in what plays like an overblown student film. Amateurish lighting and production values - including some really bad CGI effects - and a cheap, under-worked script make this no-budget direct-to-video material at best, even though the concept had some promise.
Christian Slater gives a performance that is better than the movie deserves, but the rest of the cast either phones it in or goes cartoonishly over the top.
