Review of He Was a Quiet Man (2007) by Elisa L — 07 Apr 2008
He Was a Quiet Man is a film that is able to connect with the audience through a good script, but flawless direction. The acting is perfect, and paired with the direction and smart camera work, the movie comes off as fantastic.
The premise of this movie, a guy who hates his job, and wants to kill the people he hates is fantastic, but the underlying sociological themes are what makes this movie great.
Quiet Man keeps you thinking until the very end, and growing empathy and concern for the main character, Bob. The end is surprising, and really brings the film full circle.
Quiet Man is a dark comedy that is put together really well. You will not feel fulfilled emotionally after this movie, but you will appreciate all aspects of this film.
I highly recommend He Was a Quiet Man.
