Review of He Loves Me… He Loves Me Not (2002) by Marla N — 08 Aug 2010
I like this movie very much, although its subject matter would be really disturbing and just plain crazy if it happened in real-life it was so strangely captivating to watch. (Probably because that people are often naturally fascinated with the mad and insane.).
This is a movie with two completely different plots, and yet both are true, and entwined. Just that one was exaggerated in the mind, and twisted with false hope. The other, that of the victim was detached and unsuspecting.
Once you watch this, you will understand for the rest of your life that nothing is what it seems, and point of view can have a 180 degree difference from reality.
The camera handling and angles may not have been anything spectacular, looking as though it came out from a TV show in terms of standard, but it added to the excellent concept and plot. Making everything seem all right and perfectly ordinary.
It is so far the best French film I know.
