In order to truly understand this film you gotta first understand a few major key things. you gotta understand the hood, you gotta understand love, and most of all you gotta understand spike lee. basketball is his game and in this deep depiction of his favorite sport.
..if the sport was a girl he loved who had another man-hes showing the world a psychological porno of how she gets fucked over by plenty and truly appreciated by few. plus you've got the story of father and son.
and the anger between them by the death of the mother. see the movie. that's all im gonna say.
