Review of He Got Game (1998) by Charles B — 23 Jan 2009
Best basketball film ever made! it's not just about basketball too! ya'll keep thinking the side story is about race but it really is not. It's about a kid who is tempted by anything and everything that has nothing.
His father who is parolled only for the reason to sway his son to go to a certain school cuz he is talented at playing a game but really wants his forgiveness for past wrongs and to learn from his past mistakes.
It's a movie about responsiblity to others and self. To resist temptation. I has religious undertones that depict the kid who is named "Jesus" after all, stuggling with choices not only for himself but for his love ones and hoping he is making the right ones.
