One of the great sports movies. If I've got to pick films to capture the love of basketball, it's "Hoosiers" and "He Got Game." Lee can't help himself in some of the never-ending soliloques concerning race, sex, sports in America, oh.
..did I mention race? It's Spike and I really don't mind except that it did detract slightly from the storytelling. Otherwise, a great film that was obviously crafted by someone who loves the game.
