Review of Haywire (2011) by Proflegut — 22 Jan 2012
Yes, the story of a professional killer (ok, her mission was to rescue someone but deep down she's an assassin) who must get even with colleagues who have double crossed her/him is nothing new but this film just does this with brilliant flair.
Gina Carano's performance, Steven Soderburgh's direction and David Holmes music all add up to a perfectly executed piece of entertainment. While completely different in so many ways, this film is equally ranked alongside 'The Artist' as my top films so far of 2012.
