Review of Haywire (2011) by Bradley L — 08 Jul 2012
An original approach to an action movie: You actually see what's going on! Instead of going for the industry norm of fast cuts and close-ups, Soderbergh opts to pull the camera back so we can appreciate the physicality of each action scene.
A great soundtrack and a laid-back approach to direction rounds out this quietly intense action film that is hindered only by a stilted performance from Carano, slow pace, and some plot holes.
