(2012) Haywire.
POLITICAL THRILLER/ ACTION.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh starring Gina Carano as agent Mallory Kane who was set up and double crossed by the employees who hired her to keep a particular eyewitness safe only to find out that the agency can also be bought, she then seek for some payback. Unconventional film that could've been like a Jason Bourne film but in turn has more in commmon with "Drive" in terms of style. While they're no exciting action sequences which consist of a few fights with zero impact, the movie is still compelling since it's never been done like it before. The beginning was probably the most ludicrous of all when our heroine enters into a diner only to meet with someone who was ordered to bring her back, and during the scuffle perfect strangers join in to help her without any proper introduction or anything. And as she takes someone else's car with the oriignal owner sitting beside her she then explains to this strnager about why she did the things she did, making everything to make sense.
2.5 out of 4.
