Review of Haywire (2011) by Keenan S — 17 Jan 2013
I really don't get the beef people seem to have with Haywire (40% approval? You mean to tell me that the users of this site think garbage like Abduction is a better action/thriller? That is total horse shit), and I think it is one of the most underrated action films ever made.
While the plot could use more fine-tuning, the action scenes are choreographed nicely and intense, the music has a neat 70's vibe to it, the acting is solid, and the story itself is rather intriguing since it involves agents and back-stabbing.
Overall, it feels like a neat throwback to action films of yesteryear and is a lot of fun to watch. It certainly isn't perfect, but I agree with the critics and think that is a pretty good film.
