Review of Haywire (2011) by Philip S — 12 Aug 2013
I had my doubts, but this is one slick, sparse, effective action flick. Carano may not be a master thespian but it doesn't matter when Soderbergh stages the film with minimal dialogue and an all-star supporting cast.
The fight sequences are great, the cinematography is way above the pay grade of most action yarns and the story is surprisingly solid. The most satisfying actioner I've seen in years. See it.
