Review of Haywire (2011) by Isla B — 18 Jan 2017
Carano isn't all that charismatic in her first leading role, but she is still fun to watch. The first fight with Channing Tatum is probably the coolest realistic fight on film and the one with Michael Fassbender is a masterpiece.
The story is a fun, not very substantial spy plot yet it is still better than the last three James Bond movies. The exceptional fight scenes are right up there with the 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Ong Bak, Ip Man 3, Drunken Master 2, and Game of Death (and those are the best martial arts movies ever).
