Review of Hawk the Slayer (1980) by Steve R — 15 May 2008
A really enjoyable ultra-low budget sword and scorcery yarn. Some amusing cheap special effects and 80s synth music don't detract at all from the likeable characters and tightly-paced plot. Bernard Bresslaw from Carry On fame plays the giant character, and Jack Palance plays the ever-so-nasty nasty bad guy.
Well worth a watch if you want entertaining, but you're not expecting Hollywood special effects.
