Review of Havoc (2005) by Erica T — 14 Feb 2008
Another sexually charged drama about bored teenagers that tries to mimick the spirit of its predecessors like "Kids". Whereas Kids made an important statement about the risks involved with careless behavior and casual sex, especially when it comes to HIV and AIDS, this movie doesn't really seem to make any point at all.
If anything, the silly girls who cause all the trouble seem to get away with everything in the end, while everyone else is left dealing with the repercussions. And although I respect Anne Hathaway for trying to break out of her typical Hollywood role, she didn't fit with the gritty style this movie tried to take.
If you're looking for this kind of movie, go rent Kids instead - you'll get the same shock value but with a more genuine plot line in my opinion.
