Review of Hatchet III (2013) by Dan H — 20 Jan 2014
The sfx and gore are so bad their good (just like always), and the acting is still pretty good but the plotting is thinner than usual. I do like the idea of a whole Swat team and police unit taking on Victor Crowley, and the additions of Derek Mears and Zach Galligan are welcome.
We also get the return of fan favorites Danielle Harris (who has significantly less to do here), Kane Hodder, the great Sig Haig (who KILLS IT in his one scene here), and Parry Shen (He's great here, as usual).
While Hatchet 3 isn't the best of the trilogy, it is definitely the funniest of the three films. Hatchet 3 provides a decent ending to the Hatchet trilogy, and still makes for fun, gory viewing.
