Review of Hatchet (2006) by Brysen K — 24 Nov 2012
I for one really enjoyed this film. It pays tribute to the classic 80's slasher flicks. What I was impress the most was the effects, I was surprise they didn't use CGI effects like most horror films today use, good old classic practical effects.
It really does have that old school horror vibe with its fun characters, funny dialogue, and awesome death scenes. I hope Victor Crowley becomes one of the iconic horror stars like Freddy and Jason. Also, there's cameos from Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Tony Todd (Candyman), and Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees) as the killer in this movie.
