Review of Hatchet (2006) by Tony F — 16 Oct 2010

Like most horror films, if it has a 'campy' feel to it, meaning alot of tongue in cheek laughs and over the top splatter scenes...it's reall likely a B-movie.

I'd consider Hatchet to be a B-movie but, it is done well never the less.

Frightened victims with hopelessness at every turn.

The monster that will not die. Is it dead anyways??!?

Over the top gore and blood lust.

Bad one liners.

It's a B-movie.

One reason I'm giving it 60% is that if I had to rate it as an A-movie, it'd be a 50% or so. The prosthetic monster is more hilarious than scary in fact, one is never scared here...only awaiting the next hapless death.

Good Halloween fun. Decent picture quality on the BluRay transfer as well I might ad.

It's Hatchet, and Impalement and Rip Apart, and Skewered as well imo.
