Review of Hatari! (1962) by Carl S — 02 Jun 2009

This is the 4th or 5th Howard Hawks movie I have seen. It was surprisingly funny, and not exactly what I expected from a John Wayne movie. You can tell they had fun with this movie with such things as the visiting young, attractive female photographer from Italy becoming "Mother" to three baby elephants.

And while most everyone else makes a movie about big game hunting in Africa, this movie is about a crew who are capturing animals on order for zoos all over the world.
