Review of Harvard Beats Yale 29-29 (2008) by Devon R — 16 Mar 2009
This was a surprise - how could a tie football game be so exciting? And just how could Harvard beat Yale if they tied? You will find out in this enthralling documentary about an extraordinary game. But it's the people who are the most interesting.
We see the young, assumed privileged students (but some really weren't) and how their lives were changing in the midst of the nervous breakdown in America that was the late 60s. Just in case you don't know it, I hate football - but Arthur loves football movies so I see a lot of them!! And this I enjoyed.
It was at The Music Hall. thank heavens for the Music Hall - I can't keep up the traveling to Kendall Square just to see great films.
