Review of Harsh Times (2005) by Krishan A — 29 Jul 2008
Shows the affects of the military training on young minds and how making soldiers cope with death and violence has serious and terrible after effects on the soldiers mind. Christian Bale plays an ex-army ranger who is a "soldier of the apocalypse" killing many without remorse, but all this looking away catches up to him and with a mixture of excessive amounts of alcohol and marijuana he turns into something that his friends and even he himself greatly fear.
The story is incoherent and random but Bale's acting makes up for that as he truly becomes his character and brings the script to life.
