Definitely an engrossing story. Bale was better than I thought he'd be when I first started the movie. He's pretty much wrong in for the part of an L.A. white boy who thinks he's Latino, yet still pulls it off (Raising my already astronomic respect level for him even more).
Personally, I actually thought Freddy Rodriguez' performance is the highlight of the movie. He's complex and totally believable as the respectable yet easily influenced best friend.
