A very good character study that shows a lot of depth on the part of Christian Bale. The characters (both Bale and Rodriguez) were definitely interesting, but at times I wondered what the movie was all about besides the strangeness of Bale's character and the hold he had on his friend.
Because of this, at times it felt like much ado about nothing, a vanity project more than a movie trying to speak about something bigger.
