Trying very hard to masquerade as a quasi-cult style action-thriller, Harsh Times only comes across as a movie full of wasted scenes. The dialogue is utterly laughable in many cases and the story leaves too many loose ends. And considering his broody performance in Batman Begins, I can hardly believe this is really Christian Bale.
"Jim Davis: I'm a soldier of the apocalypse, man!".
