Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by Luke S — 24 Aug 2012
The Prisoner of Azkaban is maybe my favorite of the Harry Potter series. It made the cross over from fun, magical adventures to scary as fuck, twisted as dick stories. They aren't kids movies anymore. The cast is growing, most notably with the inclusions of Garry Oldman and David Thewlis, and of those continuing on, performances are getting better and Emma Watson was getting hotter. This was around the point most guys were switching onto the fact something special was happening here.
Now, though I say it's maybe my favorite, I'll admit this one does feature the one piece of magic that irritates me more than any other in the Harry Potter series, and that's the Time Turner. Seriously, why is it only the once that this, the one possibly most effective piece of magic is used? Seriously, of all the good it could've done, why's it only now being used, and only being used to help Hermioney out with her extra classes. Seriously? Seriously?
