Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by David M — 02 Aug 2013
The third Harry Potter book/film, this is where things start to get rather dark, particularly with the arrival of the Dementors (Ring-Wraiths, anyone?) into the story.
Like the previous entries, this starts at the Dursley's, before moving on to Hogwarts school of witch-craft and wizardry. Again, there is a new 'Defense against the Dark Arts' teacher, and again this takes place over the course of the school year.
The main thrust of the plot of this novel is the escape of Sirius Black from Azkaban prison - the only person to ever escape from that place, and a man associated with the death of Harry's parents - and just why he is looking for Potter.
As always, things are not as they seem ...
