Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by Katy M — 24 Jul 2012
Although the 13-year-old in me still grumbles over some of the changes in this movie that marked a departure from the faithful adaptations of the first two movies, the artistic license that Alfonso Cuaron takes with POA is understandable and necessary in order to transition Harry Potter into the darker years of his adolescence.
The movie still captures the emotion and heart of the original book, despite a few weak spots, and that's what is most important.
