Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by Nolan H — 31 Jul 2012
The best and most stylish entry in the Harry Potter series, movie #3 comes off as a dark, unique thrill ride that sets itself apart from the book. Don't get me wrong, the book is my favorite in the literary series, but the films need to do something new and creative in order to leave any sort of memorable impression.
Director Alfonso Cuarón adds a certain flair that is completely absent from the other entries. The finished product is a cleverly paced, unique thrill ride that omits the right parts of the book and emphasizes its best moments.
I was like 15 when this film came out, and it stands out as the first one in which Hermione actually seemed kind of hot.
