Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by Poco R — 17 Jan 2014
This movie happens to be a great one; but as far as Potter movies go, my least favorite(all the other ones are five star by me). I like Alfonso Cuaron as director, he definitely made the most of the thin tale. I am trying to be fair with this film(being a ginormous Potter fan, I tend to look with biased eyes), and I decided that this deserves four star I think that this movie is not one my favorite, as I think the viewpoint it took, as well as the numerous cuts made the plot not as suspenseful, and not as good as the book. But it could've been a lot worse I suppose, and overall, it is a splendid movie, and like I said, Cuaron definitely did a good job on it. I think that the movie took a more ...-dreamy I guess you'd call it- direction, rather then the action-packedness of the Chamber of Secrets and the tension and seriousness of the book. Even though it's a long way from being my #1, it's still a terrific film-so if you have a good movie sense, and especially if you're a Harry Potter fan(though you might feel that it's better put out in the book, like me), don't skip over this movie.
A-.
