Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by Petros T — 19 Oct 2015
PoA feels like a transitional film: you get Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, characters that will play a smaller or bigger role in following installments; a big part of the film feels like a constant build-up for the appearance of Black, and not like a normally evolving story.
Still, there's a rather grand twist, presented very succesfully; there's Buckbeak; and there's an epic fight: Gary Oldman as a big black dog against David Thewlis as a were-wolf - with Alan Rickman watching.
