Review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) by Jesse W — 19 Mar 2017
Being the third installment in the series, this is where a movie series typically starts to drag out. However, that is not the case this time because Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is one of the best installments in the series.
Not only does the universe get expanded greatly as one would expect from this franchise, but the existing characters truly begin to grow and develop while at the same time showing the true strength of their relationships. This chapter also introduces Sirius Black, an amazing character as well. All of this makes this the first truly emotional chapter of the Harry Potter story.
On top of this, the script is very well-written, the directing is perfect, and the cast gives their best performances so far, making for one truly amazing film.
