The story is about a boy named Harry Potter whose relatives picks on him because mysterious incidents happen around him. When he meets a half-giant named Hagrid who tells him the truth that he originally came from a wizarding family, his aunt and uncle knew the truth and never told him and that he's a wizard himself.

When he enters the wizarding world, he learns that most of the truth about his past is being hidden by other wizards and witches as they do not speak of the name of who killed his parents and the rest is that he didn't know who he really was.

As he goes to his new wizarding school named Hogwarts, he quickly makes friends and enemies, becomes a player known as the Seeker in a wizarding sport known as Quidditch, discovers new fantasy creatures and elements and is on the search for the Philosopher's Stone where in USA, they call it the Sorcerer's Stone.

I remember the day when this movie first came out. There was a lot of hype for this new franchise. I went to see this movie and it was one of the most fantasizing experiences I ever sat through. We also brought the DVD so that my brother can see the film as well.

And we were hyped for the sequel that was Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets. Since this is one of the only book franchises that has been adapted faithfully note-by-note, shot-by-shot and yes they did leave a few bits out for the fact that they were afraid that the movie might be too long.

Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone gets a 10/10.
