Review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) by Jesse M — 26 Jul 2013
A truly magical experience who's spell can befall anyone who watches it. Filled with likable lush characters, a grand mythology, and masterful storytelling, this classic took the source material to new heights that created a worldwide phenomenon.
Only flaw I could state would be the rather flat direction, but thanks to the director's many technicians and designers the visual designs and fx do all the work for him.
Overall a modern day Wizard of Oz and the beginning of a beautiful series.
